The final chapter in the history of much-loved Zuffa promotion the WEC was written last night in Glendale, Arizona as ‘WEC 53: Henderson vs. Pettis’ served as the last ever WEC show, with the promotion merging with the UFC as of January 2011. Fans of the high-octane shows put on by the organisation were not left disappointed last night, as the fighters involved seemed to be in cahoots to ensure that this was an extremely memorable way for the WEC to bow out.
