B.J. Penn: “I definitely want to fight Georges St Pierre again”
B.J. Penn is considered, pound-for-pound, one of the best MMA fighters on the planet, however on the two occasions that he has locked horns with Georges St. Pierre he has came up short. Now still the lightweight champ and looking as good as ever, Penn says he wants another crack at GSP.
In a recent interview with SunSport, UFC lightweight champion B.J. Penn speaks of his desire to go at it with welterweight champ Georges St. Pierre one more time.
“I definitely want to fight GSP again. I'm biased and I have confidence in myself and I don't think the fight would go anything like that if we fought again.”
“I've got to defend the lightweight title and take on all challenges that make me better but if I get a chance to fight GSP again — even if it was a non-title fight — I'd jump at the opportunity.”
B.J. Penn is set to put his UFC lightweight championship on the line against Diego “Nightmare” Sanchez at UFC 107 on December 12th, only time will tell whether B.J. can defend his title once more, or whether Diego Sanchez will win the biggest fight of his life.
