UFC on Versus - Brandon Vera welcomes “epic” fight with Jon Jones

Exciting UFC light heavyweight, Brandon Vera has been speaking ahead of his UFC on Versus showdown with Jon Jones on March 21st in Broomfield, Colorado, and “The Truth” is predicting an epic contest.

Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Vera said:

“I made a soundtrack of all the songs I used to listen to when I first started training. It's more of an ‘F’ it attitude right now. I stopped worrying what people think, and I'm going back in there and just trying to hurt people again, like I used to. When I first came out, I would just bang on people and I would roll with people just to see them break. I got away from that. I don't know what happened. ... I got sucked into the MMA world of trying not to disappoint people.”

“I like the bumps on the road. I enjoy learning from my mistakes and it's kept me humble. I'm not even going to say kept me humble - it's made me humble.”

On his fight with Jon Jones, Vera said:

“Fifteen minutes is too long for me and Jones to stand and bang with each other. One of us is going to have to go to sleep, I think. The UFC giving me Jones, it was almost like a godsend. This is going to be an epic fight.”

Vera and Jones will headline the promotions first ever card on Versus alongside the heavyweight clash between former number one contender, Gabriel Gonzaga and fast rising star, Junior dos Santos.
