UFC 111 - Pearson backs Hardy to win, says St. Pierre is only human
“Ultimate Fighter” season nine lightweight winner, Ross Pearson has backed his Team Rouigh House stable mate, Dan Hardy to pull off the upset later this month when he steps into the octagon with welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre, adding the Canadian is only human.
Speaking via Fighters Only Magazine, Pearson said:
“Dan Hardy has a world title shot, a once in a lifetime opportunity. I am super excited to see this fight. At the end of the day, like Dan says, GSP is only human and everyone can get beaten. I do really think Dan has got the puncher’s chance, if he catches GSP he can put him away.”
“He is looking super-sharp in the gym, his weight is right down, he is punching well, moving well. If he performs to the best of best of his ability he can cause a big upset here.”Hardy is now finishing up his camp in America to get used to the time difference and, as luck would have it, has run into the last man to upset St. Pierre inside the octagon. Matt Serra, while training at Renzo Gracie’s facility in Manhattan.
