Hector Lombard extends unbeaten run to eighteen as he defends his title

Bellator FC middleweight champion, Hector Lombard racked up his eighteenth straight win in the mixed martial arts world today in Sydney, Australia, successfully defending his CFC 185 pound title against Art Santore of Team Quest.

Lombard was systematic in his demolition of Santore in the opening round, dominating the action before opening up a deep gash on his face. The referee called the doctor in to have a closer look at the wound before waving the fight off and handing Lombard the TKO win.

Lombard will now head back to the United States to compete in a yet to be announced super fight against a unknown opponent. Stay tuned to MMABay in the coming weeks for more on who it might be.
