DREAM 13 - Josh Barnett vs. “Mighty Mo” Siliga in the works for Japan

Disgraced former UFC heavyweight champion, Josh Barnett appears set to resume his MMA career later this month when he takes on K-1 kickboxer, “Mighty Mo” Siliga at DREAM 13 in Yokohama, Japan on March 22nd.

The report comes via SI.com and represents a significant step down in competition for the American fighter. That said it wasn’t through want of trying on the promotions behalf with the likes of Tim Sylvia and “Big Foot” Silva turning down the fight.

Barnett is on a four-fight winning streak which includes a decision win over Jeff Monson and a third round submission of Gilbert Yvel. He was set to take on Fedor Emelianenko in August before a pre-fight drugs test came back positive.

As for “Mighty Mo” his three fight winning streak to open his MMA career came to a halt in December when he lost via submission to fellow K-1 legend, Semmy Schilt. Stay tuned to MMABay for word on the official announcement as we get it.
