Tim Sylvia vs. Mariusz Pudzianowski event pushed back to May 21st
The upcoming MMA event featuring the heavyweight showdown between former UFC champion, Tim Sylvia and five-time World Strongest Man, Mariusz Pudzianowski has seemingly been moved back from April 23rd to May 21st.
Event promoter, Corey Fischer told MMAFighting.com earlier today:
“The event is definitely happening. We moved it back a month, but we have the pay-per-view contract signed, arena contract signed, and we're moving forward. I'm not expecting my matchups to change. It will all be announced on Friday.”
Another fight set to go down that night is the light heavyweight contest between Seth Petruzelli and Houston Alexander and “The Silverback” couldn’t help but voice his displeasure at the news earlier today via the Underground Forum.
“Now I just got the contract to fight Houston Alexander and they just called my manager this morning to push it back till who knows when!!!!”
“I am so sick of this sh*t, I am sorry to rant but I just need to get it out off my chest. I know I can compete with top level guys, and I deserve to be in the big shows. I am sick of the inconsistency of smaller shows and them always getting pushed or canceled. I want to fight every 3 months or so but this makes it impossible!!! I don’t know what else to do at this point....”Stay tuned to MMABay over the coming days to find out if there are any further changes to this upcoming event.
