Cro Cop denies signing with DREAM, wants to fight often in the UFC

Croatian heavyweight, Mirko Cro Cop has strongly denied signing a contract with the DREAM promotion in Japan and revealed the only problem he has with the UFC deal is that he wants to fight more often.

Speaking to a Croatian news site, Cro Cop said:

“I don’t know why White listened to the rumors instead of talking to me. I hoped that we will talk about a continuing of our collaboration, because the only obstacle was the long period between two fights that has been offered to me. I don’t want to sit at home so long and waiting that someone calls me for a fight.”

“However, I am grateful to Dana White for an opportunity to fight in Cologne and despite his harsh words, I don’t see the reason that we don’t prolong the contract.”

It is clear that one of the parties is being economical with the truth and DREAM themselves are suspiciously quiet on the whole issue. It would be very disappointing after all the hype about his return to have the Croatian walk away as quickly as he returned but it’s now down to him and the UFC to sort this mess out in the coming days.
