Efrain Escudero’s MMABay Fighter Blog for February, 2010

Efrain Escudero is back blogging for MMABay in February, talking about getting over his recent disappointing loss to Evan Dunham to kick off the year. The “Ultimate Fighter” winner also discusses his injured arm, his return to schooling in the break and looking forward to UFC 114 on May 29th.

“Hi MMABay. I’ve had my fight, he caught me off guard and I took my first loss. I’ve gotta take this loss as a learning experience, learn from it and carry on. I can’t keep it in the back of my mind all the time, gotta just put it aside and go back to the drawing board, look back at where I went wrong. I’m gonna start concentrating on my next opponent. The rumour so far is I’m gonna be fighting Dan Lauzon, I really can’t confirm it at this point. I can however say I’m scheduled to fight at UFC 114. My arm was a little hurt after my last fight, but its fine now, it’s back and ready for another war.

I’ve been concentrating a lot on schooling recently. I’m getting ready to graduate from the Grand Canyon University on May 1st. After my last fight I was injured so I wasn’t able to be in the gym so I had to take a few weeks off. That time allowed me to catch up on my school and everything. Now I’m back in the normal routine and I’m looking forward to my next fight, my next training camp and I’m stoked about it. I’m counting down the minutes and hours. At the moment I’m training with Ben Henderson, the WEC world champ at 155 as well as Edgar Garcia for this one and hopefully I’ll be able to talk about my fight next time around.

Efrain”
