Dana White reveals he turned down a part in “Here Comes the Boom”

October 9, 2012 All MMA News, UFC

UFC President, Dana White has today revealed he turned down a part in the upcoming mixed martial arts themed movie, “Here Comes the Boom”, explaining the part played by colour commentator Joe Rogan was actually intended for him.

Speaking via Inside MMA, Dana said:

“Kevin James asked me to be in the movie. He sent me over a script, and I said, ‘Bro. I appreciate you thinking of me. I don’t know if you’ve ever seen my Bud Light commercial, but if you have, you would understand why I do not want to be in the movie.’ I’m not an actor, and the part that [Joe] Rogan plays was supposed to be mine. The last thing I need to do is to be leading by example that our guys should all be running towards the movies. There’s only a couple of guys in the history of MMA that have actually done a great job in a movie, you know what I mean?”

“Here Comes the Boom” stars Kevin James as a teacher who tries to save his school from budget cuts by becoming a mixed martial arts fighter. Stay tuned to MMABay for more news on the film and a possible review as it comes in.

Buying Supplements for MMA Training and Hardcore Workouts
Many people ask what type of supplements they should use for MMA training and hardcore workouts. With each person and training program the supplements will vary.  Anyone exerting enormous amounts of energy with their training needs to have a proper diet, lots of rest and quality supplementation. Some of the supplement staples for MMA and hardcore workouts will include Creatine, Whey Protein, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids), L Carnitine, Beta Alanine and Glutamine.  You may also need extra pre-workout energy and strength with Ephedrine/Ephedra and Prohormones.  As well you will need to replenish nutrients with Multivitamins, Super Greens, Fish Oil and Joint Support Supplements. Make sure to research what the requirements are for your specific training program, and do as much research as possible on each supplement you are taking.
