Hector Lombard rules out a move to the welterweight division
Former Bellator middleweight champion, Hector Lombard has today ruled out a move to the welterweight ranks despite a disastrous debut inside the octagon this past weekend at UFC 149, explaining one bad fight will not result in a knee jerk reaction.
Speaking via his Twitter page, Lombard said:
“I feel strong at 185 just because I had a bad fight does not mean that I am going to drop to 170.”
It will be interesting to see where Lombard goes from here and whether he goes back to the ultra-aggressive style that saw him put together such an impressive winning streak inside the cage over the years. Will he continue to be a force at 185 pounds or is it true that there is no top level talent outside of the UFC ranks these days? Tell us what you think…
