UFC 149 – Ryan Jimmo, Matt Riddle, Bryan Caraway and Mitch Gagnon pocket $65,000 bonus awards
A trio of UFC 149 preliminary card fighters picked up the customary post-fight bonus awards last night following the event in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, an unsurprising fact after the bigger names on the card just failed to deliver as they had promised.
Light heavyweight newcomer, Ryan Jimmo picked up the “Knockout of the Night” for his seven-second knockout of Anthony Perosh, while Matt Riddle earned the “Submission of the Night” for his excellent head and arm-triangle choke win over Chris Clements.
The “Fight of the Night” went to the bantamweight clash between Bryan Caraway and Mitch Gagnon which opened the night’s broadcast on FX. After a back and forth affair, Caraway picked up a rear-naked choke win in the third round.
