Chael Sonnen wants people to stop hating on Hector Lombard

July 20, 2012 All MMA News, UFC  Comments

Two-time former UFC middleweight title contender, Chael Sonnen has been giving his thoughts on Hector Lombard ahead of making his octagon debut this weekend at UFC 149 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as well as saying he wants people to stop hating on the Cuban knockout artist.

Speaking via MMA Uncensored, Sonnen said:

“I like the match up a lot. I think Boetsch is coming in with some major steam. Yushin Okami was a top five guy, at the time that they fought, former contender. However, there’s a lot of hate on Hector, and there really shouldn’t be. The guy has put 25 fights together. Three solid years, and I just can’t look past that, but I do think Boetsch will pose the grappling advantage, which I think a lot of people don’t know.”

Lombard is fresh off a second round TKO win of former Strikeforce veteran, Trevor Prangley at a catch weight of 195 pounds, further demonstrating the kind of power the Cuban native has in his hands. He finished his term with Bellator with a 8-0 record. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it.

Many people ask what type of supplements they should use for MMA training and hardcore workouts. With each person and training program the supplements will vary.  Anyone exerting enormous amounts of energy with their training needs to have a proper diet, lots of rest and quality supplementation. Some of the supplement staples for MMA and hardcore workouts will include Creatine, Whey Protein, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids), L Carnitine, Beta Alanine and Glutamine.  You may also need extra pre-workout energy and strength with Ephedrine/Ephedra and Prohormones.  As well you will need to replenish nutrients with Multivitamins, Super Greens, Fish Oil and Joint Support Supplements.
