UFC 154 – Georges St. Pierre “good to go” for November 17th showdown with Carlos Condit in Montreal, Quebec, Canada
UFC President, Dana White has today revealed that welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre is “good to go” for the UFC 154 card set for November 17th in Montreal, Quebec, Canada where he is expected to take on interim champion, Carlos Condit in the main event of the evening.
Speaking at today’s press conference in Calgary, Dana said:
“Yup, as far as I know, right here, right now, he’s gonna fight, yes. Unless any complications happen, he’s good to go.”
St. Pierre has won his last nine professional mixed martial arts fights including victories over Josh Koscheck, Matt Hughes and B.J. Penn. His last defeat came at the hands of Matt Serra way back at UFC 69 in April 2007.
Condit picked up the interim welterweight title with a unanimous decision win over Nick Diaz at UFC 143 in February. “The Natural Born Killer” has won his last five professional bouts including victories over Rory MacDonald and Jake Ellenberger.
