July 15, 2012 Uncategorized  Comments

Strikeforce heavyweight grand-prix winner, Daniel Cormier will make his final appearance with the California based mixed martial arts promotion before heading to the octagon on September 29th it has been revealed tonight, although there is no word on where the event will go down in North America.

The announcement was made on the Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Kennedy broadcast earlier tonight, an event that saw the former Olympian in attendance to support his American Kickboxing Academy team mate and middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold.

Cormier stepped in for the UFC bound Alistair Overeem at the semi-finals stage of the tournament last year, knocking out Antonio “Big Foot” Silva in the process. He met former UFC champion, Josh Barnett in the final and pulled off an impressive unanimous decision win on the night.

Many people ask what type of supplements they should use for MMA training and hardcore workouts. With each person and training program the supplements will vary.  Anyone exerting enormous amounts of energy with their training needs to have a proper diet, lots of rest and quality supplementation. Some of the supplement staples for MMA and hardcore workouts will include Creatine, Whey Protein, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids), L Carnitine, Beta Alanine and Glutamine.  You may also need extra pre-workout energy and strength with Ephedrine/Ephedra and Prohormones.  As well you will need to replenish nutrients with Multivitamins, Super Greens, Fish Oil and Joint Support Supplements.
