Michael Bisping wants number one contenders shootout with Chris Weidman
UFC middleweight contender, Michael Bisping has been questioning the potential number one contenders position bestowed upon Chris Weidman by the press following his ultra-impressive second round TKO win over Mark Munoz last night, with the Brit calling for a fight between the two men to settle it once and for all.
Posting via his Twitter page, Bisping said:
“Weidman looked great last night. But no1 contender? If that’s the case I want to fight him and prove I’m the number 1 contender. Let’s do it.”
I’m not sure how Bisping considers himself to be the number one contender at 185 pounds after losing his last fight inside the octagon. Prior to that he’d won four fights in a row, although none of his opponents were considered to be top ten fighter and definitely nowhere near the level of Demian Maia or Mark Munoz, Weidman’s last two victims. Stay tuned to MMABay for more news on this situation as we get it.
