UFC on FUEL TV 4 – Raphael Assuncao shows much improvement as he stops Issei Tamura in the second round via TKO
Brazilian bantamweight prospect, Raphael Assuncao picked up a big win tonight inside the octagon at UFC on FUEL 4 in San Jose, California, defeating Japanese knockout artist, Issei Tamura via TKO in the second round to kick off the preliminary card.
Both men come out kicking. Big punch from Tamura lands and staggers Assuncao. The Brazilian returns fire with a couple of big high-kicks. Assuncao misses with a Superman punch before looking for the takedown. Tamura shrugs him off. Spinning front-kick from Assuncao lands flush in the chest of Tamura. Tamura shoots in but Assuncao stuffs it nicely and looks to take the back. Tamura manages to get free and returns to his feet. MMABay scores the round 10-9 Assuncao.
Hard leg kick from Assuncao. Tamura lands a big right hand but finds himself off balance and Assuncao counters with a right hand of his own. Tamura drops to the canvas and Assuncao pounds him out.
