Jon Jones has no interest in fighting Anderson Silva and the feeling is mutual
UFC light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones has revealed that he has no interest in fighting his friend and middleweight champion, Anderson Silva down the line despite an outpouring of support for the fight from the fans, and it seems the Brazilian feels exactly the same.
Posting via his Twitter page, Jones said:
“Man my man #AndersonSilva went to work tonight, consistently amazing. I guess Anderson said he had no interest in fighting me at tonight’s press conference, I feel the same way about him. Nothing but respect.”
A fight between Silva and Jones has been something fans have been calling for over the past year, but that talk intensified following “The Spider’s” win this past weekend over Chael Sonnen at UFC 148. Can Dana White work his magic and convince these two dominant champions to hook it up down the road or is this another super-fight that’s dead in the water?
