BAMMA middleweight champion, Tom ‘Kong’ Watson signs with the UFC

In a day filled with UK signings to the worlds number one mixed martial arts promotion it has been revealed that BAMMA middleweight champion, Tom “Kong” Watson has become the latest fighter to ink a multi-fight contract with the UFC.

The news was revealed by Fighters Only Magazine earlier today. MMABay.co.uk have since confirmed the news with a separate source. “Kong” is likely to feature on the UFC on FUEL TV 5 card set for September 29th in Nottingham, England.

Watson returned from a long layoff due to a long standing back injury to defeat the promotions British middleweight champion, Jack Marshman recently. He also holds a notable win over Murilo “Ninja” Rua from just last year. Stay tuned to MMABay for news on who he’ll face inside the octagon as we get it.
