Georges St. Pierre finally returns to full-time training
UFC welterweight champion, Georges St. Pierre has today revealed that he’s finally returned to full-time training for the first time since he seriously injured his knee at the back end of last year preparing for a fight, meaning the possibility of him fighting in 2012 took a major turn for the better.
Posting via his Facebook page, St. Pierre revealed:
“I’m back in Montreal and full-time training! Already tried a few kicks – right knee is super strong…”
St. Pierre tore his ACL in training late last year and had to undergo surgery and an extensive rehabilitation process. The list of challengers to his title is mounting by the day, with current interim welterweight champion, Carlos Condit first in line as the two men look to unify the division. Johny Hendricks and Martin Kampmann will fight it out for the chance to face the winner.
