Quinton “Rampage” Jackson planning for fall return
Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has revealed that he could be back in action inside the octagon as early as September or October after recovering from a knee injury aggravated during his latest training camp, explaining he’ll start running as early as this week.
Speaking via MMAMania.com, Jackson said:
“My doctor said I could run the day after my birthday on June 21 so I can’t wait to get back and start training and see how that knee is feeling and see when my next fight’s gonna be. I’m just trying to move forward with my fighting career. My left knee is starting to feel better. I’m not gonna do anything to it just yet. I’m just gonna do my rehab and go from there.”
Jackson was lined up to take on former champion, Mauricio “Shogun” Rua in his final fight inside the octagon, giving the fans the rematch they had been waiting more than half-a-decade for. Will the Las Vegas based promotion still be able to put these two modern day legends together or will Jackson have to settle for someone else? Tell us what you think…
