UFC on FUEL TV 5 – Paul Sass vs. Matt Wiman announced for September 29th in Nottingham, England
A lightweight battle featuring UK submission machine, Paul Sass and plucky American, Matt Wiman has tonight been announced for the UFC on FUEL TV 5 card set for September 29th in Nottingham, England.
Speaking tonight to the media, Dana White said:
“After looking so impressive in his last fight at UFC 146, unbeaten Liverpool lightweight Paul Sass steps up to fight talented veteran Matt Wiman, who has won four of his last five fights.”
Sass continued his run of impressive wins inside the octagon at UFC 146 last month when he defeated Jacob Volkmann via his patented triangle choke. In fact twelve of his thirteen career wins have come via submission.
Wiman has won four of his last five bouts inside the octagon and made his promotional debut back at UFC 60 in 2006. He is coming off an impressive unanimous decision win over Mac Danzig late last year on the promotions final Versus fight card.
