Vitor Belfort talks about his rehab from a broken hand, looking forward to TUF finals more than Silva vs. Franklin II

June 16, 2012 All MMA News, UFC  Comments

UFC middleweight contender, Vitor Belfort has been giving an update on his broken hand and exactly what aspects of training he’s been able to keep up with, as well as saying he’s more excited to the TUF finals that go down next weekend at UFC 147 than the main event of the evening.

Speaking via Tatame Magazine, Belfort said:

“I’m training my leg and the jabs… I’m getting better. I’m doing what I can here. Everything I can do, I do. Everything God allows me to do I have to do. Saturday I’ll get this pin off and I’ll start my physiotherapy sessions. We’re ahead of the our predicted time. I was supposed to happen in a couple of weeks. We’re doing fine. I see today. I want to know what I can do today. Tomorrow’s like a postdated check and we live today as if it was the only day I had left, as if it was my last day. I live intensively, the best way possible, responsible and very happy.”

On the prospect of seeing Wanderlei Silva rematch Rich Franklin in the UFC 147 main event, Belfort added:

“All UFC fights are good ones. Some more and some less, one are more awaited and others less. I guess it’s going to be a good fight, but I’m very excited about the TUF finals, I want to see the boys fighting. I guess it’s going to be a good example they’ll set.”

Belfort broke his hand in training a couple of weeks back, forcing him out of his much anticipated rematch with “The Axe Murderer” next weekend. Silva made it perfectly clear that the fight between the two men is not cancelled, only postponed, and he plans on gaining a measure of revenge in the coming months when their fight is rescheduled.

Buying Supplements for MMA Training and Hardcore Workouts
Many people ask what type of supplements they should use for MMA training and hardcore workouts. With each person and training program the supplements will vary.  Anyone exerting enormous amounts of energy with their training needs to have a proper diet, lots of rest and quality supplementation. Some of the supplement staples for MMA and hardcore workouts will include Creatine, Whey Protein, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids), L Carnitine, Beta Alanine and Glutamine.  You may also need extra pre-workout energy and strength with Ephedrine/Ephedra and Prohormones.  As well you will need to replenish nutrients with Multivitamins, Super Greens, Fish Oil and Joint Support Supplements. Make sure to research what the requirements are for your specific training program, and do as much research as possible on each supplement you are taking. Buy supplements at a trusted source - one company we recommend for quality products and service is CenturySupplements.com.  They have quick delivery to the UK and a wide selection.
