Mauricio “Shogun” Rua’s camp refuses to be drawn into a war of words with Dana White
Julio Heller, the manager of former UFC light heavyweight champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, has been speaking about the situation surrounding his man and head honcho of the Las Vegas based promotion, Dana White following comments made over the weekend, explaining they’re just looking to the future and didn’t want to get into any sort of altercation.
Speaking via MMAFighting.com, Heller said:
“We want to look to the future. not the past.”
Heller had no interest in getting into public he said, he said argument with White, noting several times that, “We have respect for Dana White and his opinion.” He said Rua was content with the way things played out in the end following Thiago Silva’s injury, as the promotion announced last week Rua would face Brandon Vera in the main event of UFC on FOX 4 on August 4th. When asked whether Rua really said he would rather be cut than face the Teixiera, Heller only laughed and said, “What do you think?”
