Joseph Benavidez impressed by what he saw out of Demetrious Johnson

June 9, 2012 All MMA News, UFC  Comments

UFC flyweight number one contender, Joseph Benavidez has been giving his thoughts on the impressive win by Demetrious Johnson last night on the UFC on FX 3 card over Ian McCall, explaining “Mighty Mouse” showed a number of improvements in his game and is looking forward to the challenge down the road.

Speaking on FUEL TV, Benavidez said:

“Demetrious went out there and looked like he improved from the last fight. He wanted this more. This time he improved his takedowns and he went and got the takedowns. He had more attempts. Demetrious was more active on his feet. When he can get takedowns of his own, he is unstoppable. They both got to go back and look at tape and improve and he had tremendous takedowns.”

“Demetrious has always impressed me and tonight he impressed me even more. He improves every fight and today he looked the best in this weight class. We are the two best guys in the world and he is going to be good at everything and I’m going be good at everything. I just have to go home and train hard and he has to go home and train hard and I want this. It’s a dream come true.”

Benavidez reached the flyweight tournament final with an impressive second round TKO win over Yusuhiro Urushitani on March 3rd in Sydney, Australia. The favourite to win the tournament will now have to wait until possibly the end of the year before facing Johnson for the title. Stay tuned to MMABay for more on this as we get it.

Buying Supplements for MMA Training and Hardcore Workouts
Many people ask what type of supplements they should use for MMA training and hardcore workouts. With each person and training program the supplements will vary.  Anyone exerting enormous amounts of energy with their training needs to have a proper diet, lots of rest and quality supplementation. Some of the supplement staples for MMA and hardcore workouts will include Creatine, Whey Protein, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids), L Carnitine, Beta Alanine and Glutamine.  You may also need extra pre-workout energy and strength with Ephedrine/Ephedra and Prohormones.  As well you will need to replenish nutrients with Multivitamins, Super Greens, Fish Oil and Joint Support Supplements. Make sure to research what the requirements are for your specific training program, and do as much research as possible on each supplement you are taking. Buy supplements at a trusted source - one company we recommend for quality products and service is CenturySupplements.com.  They have quick delivery to the UK and a wide selection. They have been around for along time and have had great reviews from our customers.
