UFC on FX 3 – Seth Baczynski credits unanimous decision loss to Brad Tavares as the turning point of his career
UFC welterweight prospect, Seth Baczynski has been giving his thoughts on his UFC on FX 3 showdown with Lance Benoist this weekend in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, as well as crediting a certain defeat as the major turning point in his career.
Speaking via MMAJunkie.com, Baczynski said:
“I didn’t want to be one of those guys bouncing around on the small shows for a paycheck. That fight with Brad (Tavares) was a huge turning point in my career.”
On his upcoming fight with Benoist this Saturday night, Baczynski said:
“He’s a southpaw, and I remember him being well-rounded. Just from that little bit of watching him, I got some information on him. He’s a pretty good wrestler, pretty good grappler, and he’s pretty good on his feet. I remember him throwing a spinning back-kick. Guy has got to be pretty loose to do stuff like that.”
Baczynski, a cast member on season eleven of the hit reality show, was originally released following a loss to Brad Tavares. He has fought his way back into the promotions ranks and has picked up wins over Clay Harvison and Matt Brown since returning. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it.
