UFC 150 – Nik Lentz vs. Eiji Mitsuoka and Dennis Bermudez vs. Tom Hayden set for August 11th in Denver, Colorado

June 4, 2012 All MMA News, UFC  Comments

Two new fights have today been announced for the UFC 150 card set for August 11th in Denver, Colorado, as featherweights Nik Lentz and Eiji Mitsuoka, as well as Dennis Bermudez and Tom Hayden square off inside he octagon.

Officials from the UFC confirmed the news earlier tonight. It is thought all four men have at least verbally agreed to meet.

Lentz will drop to 145 pounds for the first time after a successful run at lightweight which saw him go 5-2-1 inside the octagon. He is coming off back-to-back losses to Mark Bocek and Evan Dunham and will have his back against the wall heading into this one.

Mitsuoka is a Japanese veteran of PRIDE, World Victory Road and DREAM and suffered a defeat on his octagon debut to Takanori Gomi at UFC 144. Prior to that defeat he’d been on a 4-1 run which saw him head to the UFC.

Bermudez finished as a runner up on season fourteen of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show. He snapped a perilous three-fight losing streak recently with a dominant unanimous decision win over Pablo Garza on the UFC on FOX 3 card.

Hayden is coming off a loss heading into this one after picking up a first-round submission defeat at the hands of Fabricio Camoes on the UFC on FX 1 card. Prior to that he’d begun his mixed martial arts career with eight straight wins, all of the coming by way of a stoppage.
