Michael Bisping would be open to coaching “The Smashes” but hasn’t been asked yet
UFC middleweight contender, Michael Bisping has today revealed he hasn’t been approached by the powers that be over a possible coaching role on “The Ultimate Fighter: Australia vs. UK”, although it seems the often cocky Brit would be happy to oblige if the opportunity was to come his way.
Speaking via ESPN.co.uk, Bisping said:
“I never say never, but the UFC hasn’t said anything to me, so maybe they’re saying never! I think maybe I’ve been rammed down people’s necks enough. But I’d certainly give it consideration. I’m a product of the Ultimate Fighter so I’m always open to it, and I’d like to be involved because of the UK v Australia thing – which is a really good concept. But I haven’t been asked yet!”
Bisping is set to square off with Tim Boetsch at on July 21st in Calgary, Alberta, Canada while Hector Lombard makes his octagon debut just a couple of weeks later on the UFC on FOX 4 card in Los Angeles, California. With the Las Vegas based promotion planning a TUF: UK vs. Australia season before the year is out, could these two men be destined to face off towards the end of the year? Tell us what you think…
