John Albert has an idea for spicing up TUF Live… let the fighters loose in Las Vegas

June 1, 2012 All MMA News, UFC  Comments

“Ultimate Fighter” season fourteen cast member, John Albert has been giving his take on how the UFC can spice up the hit reality show for future seasons following their first outing on FX and it seems it’s pretty simple really… make the most of your surroundings.

Speaking via MMAWeekly.com, Albert said:

“It was almost like a small vacation for me. I had a great time cause I was working construction full time and that was the first opportunity I had to train full time. Do nothing but train to fight, so I was looking forward to the opportunities. Six weeks is nothing, I think the guys having to do 13 weeks, doing a 13 week show, that’s crazy.”

“I think it’s definitely a good idea (to let the fighters loose in Las Vegas). It could really help you mentally. It’s like a prison inside that place, there’s no outside contact, you can only focus on so many things. You focus on training, you focus on not knowing who you’re going to fight, or who you could possibly fight. I think it would help. It takes the reality away. When you look at it on our show it’s not really reality. We would have to sit in the bus and wait and they would cue us when to do things, it’s reality but it’s not reality.”

“I think it would be better to let people go, then people could make their mistakes and show what’s truly going on. If they’re stuck in the house, it’s almost scripted, it’s too scripted I think.”

Albert has had mixed success since his days on “The Ultimate Fighter”, defeating Dustin Pague impressively in their finale battle before losing to Ivan Menjivar on the UFC on FUEL card after a stellar performance on the whole. He’ll take on Erik Perez tonight on the season finale.

Buying Supplements for MMA Training and Hardcore Workouts
Many people ask what type of supplements they should use for MMA training and hardcore workouts. With each person and training program the supplements will vary.  Anyone exerting enormous amounts of energy with their training needs to have a proper diet, lots of rest and quality supplementation. Some of the supplement staples for MMA and hardcore workouts will include Creatine, Whey Protein, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids), L Carnitine, Beta Alanine and Glutamine.  You may also need extra pre-workout energy and strength with Ephedrine/Ephedra and Prohormones.  As well you will need to replenish nutrients with Multivitamins, Super Greens, Fish Oil and Joint Support Supplements. Make sure to research what the requirements are for your specific training program, and do as much research as possible on each supplement you are taking. Buy supplements at a trusted source - one company we recommend for quality products and service is CenturySupplements.com.  They have quick delivery to the UK and a wide selection.
