Roy Nelson: “Brock Lesnar would come back to fight Frank Mir, it’s the only fight he thinks he could win”
“Ultimate Fighter” season ten winner, Roy Nelson has continued to poke former UFC heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar with a rather large stick this week in an attempt to goad him into returning to the octagon to face him, claiming the only person the Minnesota native would happily return to face is Frank Mir because it’s the only fight he knows he can win.
Speaking via Inside MMA, Nelson said:
“You know what? Brock coming back, if he does come back, I would love to welcome him back to the UFC. That was a fight that I actually called him out on ESPN, before. But if they actually make him come back, or if he actually thinks about coming back, he’ll probably come back to fight Frank Mir, because I think that’s the only fight he thinks he can win. But, you know what? I would love to have that fight with Brock.”
Nelson is coming off a impressive first minute knockout win over Dave Herman on the recent UFC 146 card in Las Vegas, Nevada, an event Lesnar attended in person for the first time since hanging up his gloves late last year. With a fight between the behemoth and “Big Country” something fans have been asking for for years, do you think there’s any chance we could see it down the line? Tell us what you think…
