Jason “Mayhem” Miller retires from mixed martial arts
Former UFC, Strikeforce and DREAM personality, Jason “Mayhem” Miller has tonight announced he’s hanging up his gloves for good following his UFC 146 defeat at the hands of C.B. Dollaway this past weekend in Las Vegas, Nevada, a loss that resulted in him being cut from the Las Vegas promotion’s roster.
Miller revealed the news to MMAFighting.com earlier today. Miller revealed that late on in his training camp for the fight he injured his knee and re-injured it during the first round, something that was picked up by Joe Rogan on commentary.
The fighter also addressed rumours of a backstage bust-up with officials, revealing he did clash with Burt Watson (a liaison between the fighters and the UFC) about wearing a gas mask during his walk to the octagon. He added there was no clash with his opponent on the night despite trash-talk between the two prior and during the fight. Stay tuned to MMABay for more news on this as we get it.
