UFC 150 – Jake Shields vs. Ed Herman signed for August 11th in Denver, Colorado
A middleweight bout between former Strikeforce champion, Jake Shields and “Ultimate Fighter” season three runner-up, Ed Herman has tonight been announced for the UFC 150 card set for August 11th in Denver, Colorado.
UFC President Dana White announced the new fight via Twitter on Monday, meaning both men have at least verbally agreed to meet inside the octagon.
Shields has been toying with the idea of a move back to welterweight after going 2-2 in his four fights at 170 pounds since joining the UFC ranks. He was last seen in action at UFC 144 where he picked up a close decision win over Yoshihiro Akiyama.
Herman has undergone somewhat of a transformation since recovering from a spate of injuries and has reeled off three straight wins inside the octagon. His most recent was a rear-naked choke victory over Clifford Starkes which also notched his third straight finish.
