UFC 150 – Benson Henderson vs. Frankie Edgar II targeted for August 11th in Denver, Colorado
The lightweight title rematch between current champion, Benson Henderson and former champion, Frankie Edgar looks to finally have a home after it was tonight revealed it has been slated for the UFC 150 card likely to take place August 11th in Denver, Colorado.
The fight was revealed by sources close to the situation to MMAJunkie.com. MMABay.co.uk have since confirmed the news with a source close to the one of the two fighters but as we all know things have a way of changing.
Henderson and Edgar squared off a month ago at UFC 144 in Saitama, Japan, with Henderson walking away with a tight decision win via unanimous decision. Many fans and critics, including MMABay, gave the win to Edgar on the night yet the man dubbed “Smooth” has made a believer out of many since.
Prior to the fight Edgar had warded off challenges from B.J. Penn and Gray Maynard while Henderson had worked his way into title contention with impressive victories over Mark Bocek, Jim Miller and Clay Guida. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it.
