Michael Bisping: “If I had Chael over five rounds, I’d definitely beat him”
UFC middleweight contender, Michael Bisping has been giving further food for thought on his recent unanimous decision loss to the trash-talking king of MMA world, Chael Sonnen, explaining if the fight had been a five-round affair he would definitely have turned the tables and walked away with his hand raised on the night.
Speaking via Your MMA Magazine, Bisping said:
“I think Chael will out-wrestle Anderson and beat him this time, and then I’ll get the rematch with Chael considering how close our fight was. If I had Chael over five rounds, I’d definitely beat him. In that last fight, I’d have stopped him in the fourth for sure. He was spent after trying to submit me in that third round. Towards the end of that round I was raining down shots on him.”
Bisping lost last time out to current number one contender, Chael Sonnen but not without putting up a considerable fight during the fifteen minutes. Prior to that he’d won four fights straight against the likes of Jason “Mayhem” Miller, Dan Miller and Yoshihiro Akiyama. He’ll take on Tim Boetsch at UFC 148 on July 7th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
