Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz to meet for a third time confirms Lorenzo Fertitta
UFC co-owner, Lorenzo Fertitta has today confirmed that former light heavyweight champions, Forrest Griffin and Tito Ortiz will square off against each other in their next fights, meaning we’ll finally conclude the interesting trilogy between the two men.
Fertitta revealed the news via his Twitter account just hours ago, answering a bunch of questions fans had put to him. Asked by a fan what would be next for Griffin he replied, “Tito.”
The two men have publically stated they would like to conclude their rivalry inside the octagon and it appears the powers that be also think it’s a good idea. The pair first fought back at UFC 59 with Ortiz walking away with a controversial split decision win. Griffin levelled the score at UFC 106, this time defeating Ortiz via split decision. Could we get a finish in the third fight to rubber stamp who is the better man? Tell us what you think…
