UFC 141 – Fabricio Werdum rumoured to be facing Brendan Schaub December 30th in Las Vegas, Nevada
It has today been rumoured that Strikeforce heavyweight submission machine, Fabricio Werdum has not only resigned with the UFC but he will also take on top prospect, Brendan Schaub at UFC 141 on December 30th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The news was revealed by Swedish site MMANytt.se yesterday, although there is no official word from the Las Vegas based promotion.
Werdum was last seen in action in June when he was defeated by Strikeforce heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem via unanimous decision. He was widely criticised by fans and critics alike after repeatedly pulling guard throughout the fight.
Schaub is coming off a first round TKO loss at the hands of former UFC and PRIDE champion, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira at UFC 134 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, a loss that derailed his title ambitions if just for now. Stay tuned to MMABay for more news on this developing situation as we get it.
