MMABay EXCLUSIVE – Quinton “Rampage” Jackson secures new training facility for UFC 135 title fight with Jon Jones

July 29, 2011 All MMA News, Exclusives, UFC  Comments

MMABay can EXCLUSIVELY reveal video footage of the 35,000 square foot Muscle Pharm facility that former UFC light heavyweight champion, Quinton “Rampage” Jackson will be using to prepare for his UFC 135 clash with Jon Jones later this year in Denver, Colorado.

A source close to the fighter passed on the video footage earlier today, as well as revealing that Jackson will make it his new home and moving in over the next eight weeks as he begins his quest to win back the title he feels he should never have lost.

Here’s a little more about the facility that Jackson will be using and how he plans on making sure he leaves no stone unturned:

  • It is brand new and located around the Denver area meaning “Rampage” will be training at altitude for this fight.
  • It includes an underwater running machine, enabling a unique way of building up his stamina further.
  • It is equipped with a cinema which will enable Jackson and his camp to watch past fights of Jones and formulate a game plan.
  • A state of the art lab is on site which includes body scanners and performance measuring equipment.
  • An expert team of nutritionists, ran by Cory Gregory, will keep Jackson in tip-top shape as he cuts down in weight.
  • The entire Wolfslair team will be flown out to Denver for the duration of the camp.
  • Jackson will be working with a high level wrestler to help negate that aspect of Jones’ game.

All in all Jackson will be giving himself the best possible chance to do what no man has done before and stop the young champion in his tracks and take his title back in the process. Stay tuned to MMABay in the coming days for more details on the facility itself and an EXCLUSIVE interview with “Rampage” himself on how he’s settling in.

Many people ask what type of supplements they should use for MMA training and hardcore workouts. With each person and training program the supplements will vary.  Anyone exerting enormous amounts of energy with their training needs to have a proper diet, lots of rest and quality supplementation. Some of the supplement staples for MMA and hardcore workouts will include Creatine, Whey Protein, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids), L Carnitine, Beta Alanine and Glutamine.  You may also need extra pre-workout energy and strength with Ephedrine/Ephedra and Prohormones.  As well you will need to replenish nutrients with Multivitamins, Super Greens, Fish Oil and Joint Support Supplements.
