TUF 13 premier episode fails to live up to expectations with an average audience of 1.5 million viewers
The debut episode of “The Ultimate Fighter” season thirteen reality show failed to live up to expectations last night when it came to the viewing figures, with a mediocre average audience of 1.5 million viewers tuning in to see the show.
This is bellow par when you compare it to past seasons with TUF 12 with Team Georges St. Pierre vs. Team Koscheck drawing 1.6 million viewers and TUF 11 with Team Liddell vs. Team Ortiz producing 1.9 million viewers. The high for the show was the TUF 10 season premiere with 4.1 million viewers mainly to do with the involvement of “Kimbo Slice”.
SPIKE TV and the UFC had hoped the involvement of former WWE Superstar and heavyweight champion, Brock Lesnar would spark interest in the show but it appears the man from Minnesota failed to capture the imagination of the fans with reports of nothing but a respectful time opposite Junior dos Santos on set.
