K.J. Noons expects to return to action on April 9th Strikeforce card, preparing for a return to 155 pounds
Former EliteXC 160 pound champion, K.J. Noons has revealed he’s expecting Strikeforce to recall him to action for their forthcoming April 9th show, rumoured to be going down in California, as well as a possible return to the lightweight division.
Speaking to MMAWeekly.com, Noons said that there was nothing set in stone as yet but he had heard from the promotion about a return to his more natural fighting weight.
Noons had moved up to the welterweight division to take on champion and bitter rival, Nick Diaz midway through last year. Now he hopes to take a run at another Strikeforce title, the 155 pound version currently around the waist of Gilbert Melendez.
