Fabricio Werdum reveals he’s watched his win over Fedor Emelianenko over a thousand times

February 10, 2011 Uncategorized

Strikeforce heavyweight submission machine, Fabricio Werdum has revealed he can’t resist watching his first round submission win over formerly ranked number one fighter in the world, Fedor Emelianenko, so much so that he’s done it over a thousand times.

Speaking via MMAFighting.com, Werdum said:

“No joking, maybe 1,000 times. No joke. I watch it all the time at home. I watch it on the internet. I like it It’s good for me. I’m not joking. Really, 1,000 times, maybe more.”

On entering the heavyweight grand prix and facing Alistair Overeem in the first round, Werdum said:

“I’m not the favourite. I just like to fight. I just finished training. It’s very important for me, my training for my first fight. My training is very important. I’m in very good condition, my body and mind. I’m fighting at 100 percent, no problem.”

Werdum holds wins over bout tournament favourites, Overeem and Fedor, something that puts him in a unique position on the most difficult side of the brackets. Stay tuned to MMABay for more build-up to this one as we get it over the coming weeks.

Many people ask what type of supplements they should use for MMA training and hardcore workouts. With each person and training program the supplements will vary.  Anyone exerting enormous amounts of energy with their training needs to have a proper diet, lots of rest and quality supplementation. Some of the supplement staples for MMA and hardcore workouts will include Creatine, Whey Protein, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids), L Carnitine, Beta Alanine and Glutamine.  You may also need extra pre-workout energy and strength with Ephedrine/Ephedra and Prohormones.  As well you will need to replenish nutrients with Multivitamins, Super Greens, Fish Oil and Joint Support Supplements. Make sure to research what the requirements are for your specific training program, and do as much research as possible on each supplement you are taking.
