Todd Duffee doesn’t regret taking Overeem fight on short notice at Dynamite!! 2010

January 1, 2011 All MMA News  Comments

Former UFC heavyweight prospect, Todd Duffee has been speaking for the first time since he lost to now DREAM interim heavyweight champion, Alistair Overeem earlier today at Dynamite!! 2010, explaining he doesn’t regret taking the fight at short notice but is disappointed by the showing he put on.

Speaking via Fight Opinion, Duffee said:

“Well, obviously, I’m extremely disappointed. I feel like I’m a much more talented fighter than I got the chance to show. Not to take anything (away) from Overeem, I think he’s an incredible, incredible fighter. I was just disappointed, you know. I wanted to come out and put on a great show, exciting show for the fans but you know obviously I wasn’t prepared. You know, I think I trained seven days for this fight and it definitely showed. … I don’t regret it at all. It was a great opportunity to fight in Japan. It’s been a dream of mine. I hope that, you know, it maybe opened the door for me to come back here and show that I have a much, much better skill set than what I put on display…”

Duffee will be forced to go back to the drawing board after this display, something that will lead many to believe the UFC were ultimately right when they ditched him mid-last year due to issues with his attitude. Will he be able to shake off this resounding loss and climb back to a prominent position on the local circuit? Tell us what you think…

Many people ask what type of supplements they should use for MMA training and hardcore workouts. With each person and training program the supplements will vary.  Anyone exerting enormous amounts of energy with their training needs to have a proper diet, lots of rest and quality supplementation. Some of the supplement staples for MMA and hardcore workouts will include Creatine, Whey Protein, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids), L Carnitine, Beta Alanine and Glutamine.  You may also need extra pre-workout energy and strength with Ephedrine/Ephedra and Prohormones.  As well you will need to replenish nutrients with Multivitamins, Super Greens, Fish Oil and Joint Support Supplements. Make sure to research what the requirements are for your specific training program, and do as much research as possible on each supplement you are taking.
