UFC 119 – Mirko Cro Cop confirms he was hit in the eye, although it turns out to be nothing serious

September 18, 2010 All MMA News, UFC  Comments

UFC heavyweight knockout artist, Mirko Cro Cop has revealed he DID take a considerable blow to his eye during training this week in Croatia, but rest assured the knockout artist is good to go for his fight against Frank Mir next weekend at UFC 119.

Speaking via Sportal.hr, Cro Cop said:

“I got hit in the eye, but nothing scary. This isn’t the first nor the last punch like that. It won’t stop me from traveling to fight, and to fight next Saturday against Frank Mir.”

Cro Cop will be looking to add to his third round submission win over Pat Barry when he steps into the octagon with Mir next Saturday night, with his biggest advantage being the power he possesses in his kics. Can he defeat the American grappler or will he end up getting choked out himself this time?

Buying Supplements for MMA Training and Hardcore Workouts
Many people ask what type of supplements they should use for MMA training and hardcore workouts. With each person and training program the supplements will vary.  Anyone exerting enormous amounts of energy with their training needs to have a proper diet, lots of rest and quality supplementation. Some of the supplement staples for MMA and hardcore workouts will include Creatine, Whey Protein, BCAAs (Branched Chain Amino Acids), L Carnitine, Beta Alanine and Glutamine.  You may also need extra pre-workout energy and strength with Ephedrine/Ephedra and Prohormones.  As well you will need to replenish nutrients with Multivitamins, Super Greens, Fish Oil and Joint Support Supplements. Make sure to research what the requirements are for your specific training program, and do as much research as possible on each supplement you are taking.
