UFN 22 – Tomasz Drawl set to face David Branch after Nick Catone suffers injury
UFC middleweight, Tomasz Drwal is set to face a different opponent at UFC Fight Night 22 on September 15th in Austin, Texas after Nick Catone picked up an injury during training earlier this month.
According to MMAJunkie.com, Drawl will now face talented all-rounder, David Branch, with bout agreements set to be distributed to both men in the coming days.
According to a separate report on TheGarv.com, Catone revealed he will undergo shoulder surgery on Thursday
“Had to pull out of the fight. Getting shoulder surgery on Thursday. Getting epidoral shots in my back, which is still banged up, the following week.”
Drwal had been on a three fight winning streak when he ran into talented Brazilian submission machine, Rousimar Palhares at UFC 111 in March. He lost the fight in the first round and had his leg snapped in the process.
Branch made his UFC debut just last month and was promptly put to sleep by a hard slam from Gerald Harris. He was due to face Aaron Simpson on the September 15th card before a staph infection forced the man from Arizona to withdraw.
