UFC 120 – John Hathaway vs. Mike Pyle not Dong Hyun Kim in the works for London, England

July 20, 2010 All MMA News, UFC  Comments

It appears UK welterweight star in the making, John Hathaway will square off with former WEC champion, Mike Pyle at UFC 120 on October 16th in London, England and not Korean judoka, Dong Hyun Kim as expected.

The news has been reported by the Telegraph.co.uk, although there is little in the way of detail when it comes to why the change has been made or how far along the negotiations are with Pyle.

Hathaway is coming off an impressive three round decision win over former lightweight title contender, Diego Sanchez at UFC 114 in May. This win adds to victories over the likes of Tom Egan, Rick Story and Paul Taylor since joining the UFC.

As for Pyle, he levelled his UFC record at 2-2 with a submission win over Jesse Lennox at UFC 115 in June. He holds another win over Chris Wilson inside the octagon but has suffered losses to Brock Larson and Jake Ellenberger.
