EXCLUSIVE: Tom Blackledge vs. James McSweeney in the works for October 16th show in London
MMABay can EXCLUSIVELY reveal that Wolfslair MMA Academy light heavyweight, Tom Blackledge will take on “Ultimate Fighter” season ten cast member, James McSweeney at UFC 120 on October 16th in London, England.
A source close to the situation revealed to MMABay earlier today that Blackledge’s original opponent, James Te Huna, had been injured in training. McSweeney will drop to light heavyweight for the first time for this fight.
Blackledge, a veteran of the M-1 Challenge, is on a two fight winning streak including a nine-second knockout win over Enoc Solves Torres back in August last year. Fans may also remember him from his time as a season ten coach on “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show alongside Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
As for McSweeney, the Brit was last seen in action on the season eleven finale of “The Ultimate Fighter”, losing to octagon newcomer, Travis Browne at the end of the first round via TKO. Prior to that he’d defeated Darrill Schoonover on the season ten finale of the reality show.
