Carlos Condit wants to fight another “tough ass opponent” such as Dan Hardy or Mike Swick
Fresh off his win over Rory MacDonald at UFC 115,former WEC welterweight champion, Carlos Condit has announced he wants to fight another top fighter with the likes of Dan Hardy and Mike Swick in mind.
Speaking via MMAWeekly.com, Condit said:
“I want to fight another tough ass opponent. Maybe a guy like Dan Hardy or Mike Swick, or you name it, there’s plenty of dudes.”
Condit enjoyed his “Fight of the Night” war against Rory MacDonald, with “The Natural Born Killer” stopping the young Canadian in the third round, saying there’s always the potential for explosive results when he steps inside the octagon.
“I had fun in there, that was great. That’s what I love to do in my life: go in there, throw down, and brawl. I welcome a war. I think pretty much time I step in the cage, there’s that potential. I’m fine. My muscles were sore, I had a few bumps and bruises, a little bit of a black eye, but today I feel great. I barely even feel any of it.”
In the back and forth bout, Condit and MacDonald both came out with the intention of finishing the fight and with only seven seconds of the third round remaining, the referee stopped the contest with Condit reigning down punches and elbows on MacDonald. The stoppage caused controversy with many believing MacDonald was still intelligently defending himself, although UFC President, Dana White has since came out and said he agreed with the stoppage.
