Paul “Semtex” Daley describes his actions in Montreal as “thoughtless”
Disgraced welterweight, Paul “Semtex” Daley has been speaking further about his recent act of madness which saw him lash out at Josh Koscheck following their fight at UFC 113 in Montreal, describing what went on as “thoughtless”.
Speaking via Telegraph.co.uk, Daley said:
“He was talking to me; I was telling him to get up and fight. He said a few things. The bottom line is that I know what I did was a terrible thing, and I want to bring entertainment when I fight.”
“It wasn’t red mist. It wasn’t anger, it was thoughtlessness, not anger, not rage, just frustration, just a thoughtless act. I really did act without thinking… Of course I want to fight in the UFC, I know what I did was terrible. I’ve got to keep a clear head now… Obviously, I’m very unhappy with myself over what I did.”
Daley has since been cut from the UFC, with the promotions President, Dana White vowing the Brit will never grace the octagon again. There is a small amount of hope on Daley side that cooler heads may prevail and after serving a likely suspension a return to the UFC could be in the pipeline.
