UFC 115 – Tito Ortiz confirms fight with Liddell is on unless “The Iceman” gets injured

March 19, 2010 All MMA News, UFC  Comments

Former UFC light heavyweight champion, Tito Ortiz has revealed that the only way is fight against Chuck Liddell won’t go ahead this summer is if “The Iceman” himself gets injured and pulls out.

A series of text messages were exchanged between the fighter and Josh Gross of Sports Illustrated, with Ortiz refuting the claims of possible complications with his neck.

When asked whether the fight was still on, Ortiz said:

“Yes, I am unless Chuck gets hurt.”

And when asked whether the rumour that the filming of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show had been cut short was true, Ortiz simply replied:

“Nope”

Ortiz will be looking to bounce back from the loss he suffered on his return to the octagon this past November at the hands of Forrest Griffin and who better to do it against than long time nemesis, Chuck Liddell. Stay tuned to MMABay for further updates on this ongoing saga.
