TUF 11 – Tito Ortiz quickly denies claims of a serious neck injury, fight with Liddell back on?

March 17, 2010 All MMA News, UFC  Comments

The ongoing saga regarding former UFC light heavyweight champion, Tito Ortiz seems to be rumbling on this week after he flatly denied rumours of a serious neck injury just hours after it was posted.

Posting on a fans Twitter page, Ortiz responded to the news saying:

“Not true!!!!! Well, that was cleared up fast. Looks like the trilogy with Chuck Liddell will be completed!!”

A leading MMA site revealed just hours ago that “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” had been forced to cut short the filming of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality show and that the proposed fight in June with Liddell has been cancelled due to multiple herniations in the neck.

Ortiz did reveal himself earlier in the day that he had been taken into hospital after contracting a bad case of flu and lost fifteen pounds in the process. Whether or not the fight between Ortiz and Liddell will go ahead as planned is anyone’s guess but I’m sure this saga isn’t over just yet. Stay tuned to MMABay for more updates as we get them.
